These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of margindock.app and the MarginDock service. By creating an account or using MarginDock, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use MarginDock. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you. You must be legally permitted to use the service where you live.
2. The MarginDock service
MarginDock provides tools for estimating resale profit, organizing inventory, tracking sales, generating labels, and reviewing business insights. Features may be added, changed, limited, or removed as the product develops. Beta features may be incomplete, change without notice, or experience interruptions.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your login credentials, and all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account in a way that creates security or legal risk.
4. Your content and data
You retain ownership of the inventory information, photos, notes, and other content you submit. You grant MarginDock a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, display, resize, copy, and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the service.
You represent that you have the rights needed to upload your content and that it does not violate law or another person's rights. Our Privacy Policyexplains how we handle personal information.
5. Estimates and reseller decisions
MarginDock calculations and insights are estimates based on the information you enter. Marketplace fees, taxes, shipping costs, refund exposure, demand, and other conditions may differ from the estimates. MarginDock does not provide tax, legal, accounting, investment, or financial advice and does not guarantee any sale, profit, ROI, or result. Verify important figures with the applicable marketplace and your professional advisers.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use MarginDock to:
- Break the law, facilitate fraud, or infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Upload malware, unlawful content, or material you do not have permission to use.
- Probe, bypass, disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the service or its security.
- Access another user's account or data without authorization.
- Scrape, resell, or commercially exploit the service except through normal use of your account.
7. Third-party services
MarginDock relies on third-party infrastructure and may reference marketplaces or other services. Those services have their own terms and policies. MarginDock is not affiliated with or endorsed by a marketplace merely because its name appears in the app, and we are not responsible for third-party services or marketplace decisions.
8. Free, beta, and paid plans
MarginDock may offer Free and Pro plans. During beta, some Pro features may be available without charge. If paid billing begins, the price, billing period, renewal terms, taxes, and cancellation options will be shown before you purchase. Recurring plans continue until canceled, and cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period unless law requires otherwise.
9. Suspension, termination, and deletion
You may stop using MarginDock at any time and may permanently delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, address nonpayment, or respond to a material violation of these Terms. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export data.
10. MarginDock intellectual property
MarginDock and its software, design, branding, and original content are owned by MarginDock or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the service or permission to use MarginDock branding outside normal use of the service.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MarginDock is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of this section may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MarginDock will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities. MarginDock's total liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid MarginDock during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Mandatory consumer rights and liabilities that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.
13. Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms as the service changes. Material updates will be identified by a revised effective date and, when appropriate, additional notice. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Applicable laws govern these Terms, subject to any mandatory protections available where you live.
